Eduardo Galeano

Eduardo Galeano was an Uruguayan author, journalist, and activist. He was known for his writings on politics, history, and social justice. Galeano was a prominent figure in the Latin American left and was awarded the Right Livelihood Award in 1982. He passed away in 2019.
