Elder Gary A. Moore

Elder Gary A. Moore is a General Authority Seventy in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was sustained as a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy in April 2018. Prior to his general authority service, he served in the Utah State Legislature and worked as a bishop and stake president. Elder Moore earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Brigham Young University and has published numerous articles on Church history. He is known for his expertise on early Church history and his work on Temple Square's historic preservation projects.
