Elena Hoyos

Elena Hoyos was a patient at the Key West Hospital where Carl Tanzler worked as a radiologist. She was a tuberculese patient who died in 1931. Tanzler's relationship with Elena's corpse is the subject of much speculation and horror. Little is known about Hoyos' life before her death, but her relationship with Tanzler has become infamous in true crime circles.
