Elian Barman is a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He is a leading expert on Iran and the Middle East. Barman has written extensively on Iran's nuclear program, its relations with the West, and the impact of US sanctions on the country. He has also served as a senior advisor to the US Department of State. Barman holds a PhD in international relations from the University of Chicago.
