Elizabeth Eckford is an American civil rights activist and educator. She was one of the nine African American students who integrated Little Rock Central High School in 1957, becoming known as the Little Rock Nine. Eckford has continued to work on civil rights issues throughout her life, including advocating for education and social justice.
