Author of Wuthering Heights
Emily Brontë (1818-1848) was an English novelist and poet, best known for her novel Wuthering Heights. Born in Yorkshire, England, she was the eldest of three sisters, all of whom became writers. Her poetry and novels are known for their intense emotional power and exploration of the human condition. Despite her short life, Brontë left a lasting legacy in the literary world. She died of tuberculosis at the age of 30.
