Emmanuel Wallerstein

Emmanuel Wallerstein was an American Marxist sociologist and historian who was born in 1935 and died in 2019. He was a prominent figure in the field of world systems theory and wrote extensively on topics such as imperialism, capitalism, and social justice. Wallerstein was also a key figure in the development of the concept of 'world-systems theory'. He was based in the United States.
