Eric Blaire

Eric Arthur Blair, better known by his pen name George Orwell, was a British novelist, essayist, and critic. He is best known for dystopian novels like 1984 and Animal Farm, as well as essays such as 'Shooting an Elephant'. Orwell's work often explored the dangers of totalitarianism and the loss of individual freedom. He died in 1950 at the age of 46 due to complications from tuberculosis. Orwell is widely regarded as one of the most influential writers of the 20th century.
