Éric Rohmer was a French film director and screenwriter known for his work in the New Wave movement. He directed over 40 films, including the comedy film 'A Summer's Tale'. Rohmer was awarded the Palme d'Or at the 1972 Cannes Film Festival for his film 'The Sign of Leo'.
