Schneiderman was a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and was a key figure in the fight against domestic violence. He was also a vocal critic of the Trump administration and was a leading voice in the Democratic Party. Schneiderman was a professor at Columbia Law School and was a frequent commentator on national television.
