Erica L. Ross is the Assistant to the Solicitor General of the United States, serving since 2019. She previously served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Solicitor General. Ross was born in New York City and graduated from Harvard University and Harvard Law School. She clerked for Judge Thomas B. Russell Jr. and later for Justice Clarence Thomas. Ross is known for her expertise in tax law and has argued several cases before the Supreme Court.
