Espérance Hakuzwimana is a Rwandan author and activist known for her work on women's rights and social justice. She is the founder of the non-profit organization We Effect, which works to empower women and girls in Africa. Hakuzwimana has written several books, including "The Girl Who Was Born Twice" and "The Girl Who Was Sold Twice". She has also worked as a consultant for various international organizations, including the United Nations. Hakuzwimana is a graduate of the University of Rwanda and has a master's degree in international relations.
