Esther Vergeer

Esther Vergeer is a Dutch wheelchair tennis player and Paralympic champion. She was born on March 6, 1980, in the Netherlands. Vergeer became a wheelchair user at the age of 12 after contracting polio. She began playing tennis at the age of 15 and quickly became one of the sport's top players. Vergeer has won numerous titles, including 11 Grand Slam singles titles and 15 Grand Slam doubles titles. She is known for her incredible athleticism and her inspiring story of overcoming adversity. Vergeer is based in the Netherlands.
