Eugène Delacroix was a French Romantic painter known for his bold and expressive works. He was born on April 26, 1798, in Charenton-Saint-Maurice, France. Delacroix studied art at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and later became a prominent figure in the French art world. He was a key figure in the development of Romanticism and is best known for his paintings of historical and mythological subjects.
