About Fanny
Fanny Alger was a teenage girl who lived with the Smith family in Kirtland, Ohio, in the early 19th century. She was born in 1812 in New York and moved to Kirtland with her family. Fanny became close to Joseph Smith and his family, and her relationship with Joseph has been the subject of much speculation and debate. She died in 1869.
