American journalist and writer
Fayette Lapham was an American journalist and writer who covered politics and social issues for several newspapers. He was known for his investigative reporting and his ability to get to the heart of complex issues. Lapham was also a prolific writer and published several books on history and politics. He is best known for his interviews with Joseph Smith Sr. and his account of the early days of the Mormon movement. Lapham was born in 1823 and died in 1897. He is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Syracuse, New York.
