Fernando Botero

Fernando Botero is a Colombian artist and sculptor known for his large-scale figurative sculptures and paintings. He was born in Medellín, Colombia in 1932 and studied art at the Escuela de Bellas Artes in Bogotá. Botero's work often explores themes of love, family, and social justice, and is characterized by its use of bold colors and exaggerated forms. He has exhibited his work around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Modern in London. Botero has also been recognized for his philanthropic work, particularly in his home country of Colombia. He is married to the artist Feodorova and has two children.
