Florence Doreen Wandesforde

Florence Doreen Wandesforde was a British author and former resident of Castlecomer House. She was born in 1904 and grew up in the castle, where she lived with her family until she was a young adult. She went on to attend university and became a writer, publishing several books on her experiences growing up in the castle. Florence was known for her vivid descriptions of life in the castle and her insights into the lives of the aristocracy. She was also a keen observer of the social and cultural changes of the time, and her writing often reflected her interest in these topics. Florence passed away in 1999 at the age of 95.
