Frankie Knuckles was an American DJ, record producer, and remixer. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the development of house music. Knuckles was born in 1955 in the Bronx, New York, and began his career as a DJ in the 1970s. He is best known for his work at the Warehouse, a nightclub in Chicago where he developed the 'deep house' sound.
