Philosopher and psychiatrist
Frantz Fanon was a Martinican philosopher, psychiatrist, and revolutionary. He is best known for his influential work 'The Wretched of the Earth', which is considered a classic of postcolonial literature. Fanon was born in Martinique and studied medicine in France. He later became a psychiatrist and worked with patients in the French colonies. Fanon was a key figure in the decolonization movement and was known for his radical ideas about racism and colonialism. He died in 1961 at the age of 36.
