Friedrich Schiller

Friedrich Schiller was a German poet, philosopher, and historian. He is best known for his contributions to the German Enlightenment and his influence on the development of German literature. Schiller was born in 1759 in Marbach, Germany. He studied law and philosophy at the University of Töbingen, and later became a professor of philosophy at the University of Jena. Schiller was a prolific writer and published several books of poetry and philosophy. He is also known for his influence on the development of German Romanticism.
