Fulgencio Batista was a Cuban politician and military leader who served as the President of Cuba from 1940 to 1944 and again from 1952 to 1959. He was a key figure in the Cuban Revolution and was overthrown in 1959. Batista was also a skilled military leader and played a key role in the defense of Cuba during the Cuban Revolution.
