Historical physicist and astronomer
Gallileo Galilei was an Italian Renaissance scientist. He is widely recognized as the father of modern observational astronomy and physics. Born in 1564, he studied medicine at the University of Pisa before becoming a professor of mathematics. His observations of the heavens using his telescope led to several groundbreaking discoveries, including the observation of four moons orbiting Jupiter.
