Gary Berntsen is a former CIA officer and author. He has written several books on politics and government, including "The Ghost War: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan, and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001". Berntsen has also worked as a consultant for several government agencies, including the CIA and the Department of Defense. He has been a vocal critic of the use of torture and has spoken out against the use of enhanced interrogation techniques.
