Gavin Flood

Gavin Flood is a British academic and expert on Hinduism and Indian religions. He is Professor of Indian Religions and Philosophy at the University of Oxford and has written extensively on the subject. Flood has a PhD in Sanskrit and Indian Studies from the University of Cambridge. He is known for his work on Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, and has taught at several universities around the world. He is also a prolific writer and has published numerous books on Indian religions. Flood is a fellow of the British Academy and a member of the Royal Society of Literature.
