General Curtis LeMay was a renowned American Air Force officer and commander. He served in both World War II and the Korean War, and was a key figure in the development of the US Air Force. LeMay was also a prominent advocate for the development of strategic bombing capabilities. He later became the 8th Chief of Staff of the US Air Force. LeMay was known for his strong leadership and his ability to inspire loyalty in his troops. He was also a prolific writer and published several books on military strategy and history. LeMay passed away in 1990 at the age of 89.
