George Crabbe
English poet and novelist from the late 18th century, best known for his poetry and novels of manners, particularly 'The Borough'. Born in 1772 in London, England, Crabbe was a prominent figure in the Romantic movement. He was also a member of Parliament and a strong advocate for the rights of the common man. His work continues to be studied and admired for its insight into the human condition.
