George Gordon, Lord Byron, was a British poet, politician, and a leading figure in the Romantic movement. He is known for his passionate and expressive poetry, as well as his flamboyant lifestyle. Byron was born in London and studied at Trinity College, Cambridge. He later became a member of Parliament and served as a private secretary to the Duke of Wellington. He is best known for his poetry, particularly his works on love and freedom. Byron died in Greece in 1824 at the age of 36.
