George Raft was an American actor. He was born on January 26, 1901, in New York City. Raft began his career as a stage actor, before transitioning to film. He is best known for his work in the 1930s and 1940s, and was a popular leading man in Hollywood. Raft passed away on September 24, 1980, at the age of 79.
