George Whitfield

George Whitfield was an English Baptist preacher who played a significant role in the Great Awakening in America. Born in 1714, Whitfield was a charismatic preacher who traveled extensively throughout the colonies, spreading his message of salvation. He was a key figure in the revival movement and helped to fuel the flames of the Great Awakening. Whitfield was also a prolific writer and published numerous works on theology and evangelism. He died in 1770 at the age of 56.
