Gerald Gardner

Gerald Gardner was a British civil servant and amateur magician. He is best known for founding modern Wicca. He was also a prolific writer and published several books on magic and witchcraft. Gardner was a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and was influenced by their teachings. He is often credited with popularizing Wicca and neo-paganism. Gardner was also a radio personality and hosted several shows, including "Secrets of Scotland Yard". He was a charismatic figure and a skilled storyteller. Gardner passed away in 1964.
