Germán Evelio Ñáñez is a Colombian man who was convicted of murdering two young women, Karen Canelo and Elizabeth Giraldo. Ñáñez was arrested in 2019 and later confessed to the crimes. He was sentenced to life in prison. Ñáñez has been the subject of much media attention in Colombia and has been interviewed by several journalists and true crime podcasters. He is currently serving his sentence at a maximum-security prison in Alcantarilla, Colombia.
