Giulio Cesare

Gaius Julius Caesar was a Roman general and statesman who played a critical role in the transformation of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire. He was appointed dictator for life in 49 BC and implemented various reforms, including the creation of the Julian calendar. Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC by a group of senators who feared his growing power.
