Giuseppe Tartini

Giuseppe Tartini was a Baroque composer and violinist born in 1692 in Piacenza, Italy. He is best known for his compositions for solo violin and chamber ensembles. Tartini was a prolific composer and wrote over 100 works during his lifetime. He was also a skilled violinist and performed in several orchestras. Despite his contributions to music, Tartini's life was marked by poverty and hardship.
