H G Wells

Herbert George Wells was a British author, sociologist, and philosopher. He is best known for his science fiction novels, particularly "The Time Machine" and "The War of the Worlds". Wells was a prominent figure in the development of the science fiction genre and is considered one of the pioneers of the field. He was also a vocal critic of social and economic inequality, and his works often explored the consequences of technological advancements on society. Wells was born in 1866 in Kent, England, and died in 1946. He is remembered as one of the most influential writers of the 20th century.
