Larry Hagman was an American actor and director. Born on September 21, 1931, in Fort Worth, Texas, he is best known for his roles as J.R. Ewing in the TV series 'Dallas' and Major Anthony Nelson in the sitcom 'I Dream of Jeannie'. He appeared in numerous films and TV shows, including 'The Towering Inferno' and 'Barry Goldwater'. Hagman was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2011 and passed away on November 23, 2012.
