Hank Mobley was an American tenor saxophonist and composer who was active in the jazz scene from the 1950s to the 1980s. He was known for his distinctive tone and style, which was characterized by its subtlety and melodic quality. Mobley was a member of several notable jazz bands, including the Art Blakey Jazz Messengers and the Miles Davis Nonet. He released several albums during his career, including the classic album "Pecking Order". Mobley passed away in 1986 at the age of 55.
