Harry Hopkins was an American politician and government official. He served as the Director of the Federal Emergency Relief Administration and the Coordinator of the War Relief Administration during the Great Depression. Hopkins also played a key role in shaping US foreign policy during World War II. He was a close advisor to President Franklin D. Roosevelt and was known for his humanitarian work. Hopkins passed away in 1946.
