Haym Salomon was a Jewish financier and philanthropist who played a crucial role in financing the American Revolution. He was a wealthy merchant and banker who used his financial resources to help fund the Continental Army. Salomon was a close friend and advisor to George Washington and helped to negotiate the Treaty of Paris. He was also a skilled politician and served as a delegate to the Continental Congress. Salomon was a key figure in securing financial support for the Revolution and helped to establish the United States' first national bank. He died in 1785 at the age of 55.
