Helen Betty Osborne was a Canadian Inuk woman who was a prominent advocate for indigenous rights. She was born in 1946 and passed away in 2000. Osborne was a key figure in the fight against child abuse and was awarded the Order of Canada in 1999. She was also a vocal critic of the Canadian government's treatment of indigenous peoples.
