Helen Churchill Candee was an American author, activist, and traveler. She was a prominent figure in the women's suffrage movement and wrote several books on history and travel. She survived the sinking of the Titanic and went on to write about her experiences. Helen was also a correspondent for the New York Times during World War I. She was known for her bravery and determination. Helen passed away in 1994 at the age of 90.
