Herbert von Karajan

Herbert von Karajan was an Austrian conductor and music director who is widely regarded as one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century. Born in 1908, Karajan began his career as a conductor in the 1930s and went on to become music director of the Berlin Philharmonic from 1955 until his death in 1989. He was known for his technical mastery and interpretive insights, which helped to establish the Berlin Philharmonic as one of the world's leading orchestras.
