Astronomer and scientist
Holger Sierks is a German astronomer and scientist who has worked at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research. He is the principal investigator of the OSIRIS instrument on the Rosetta mission. Sierks has a Ph.D. in astronomy and has published numerous papers on cometary science and astronomy. He is known for his work on the Rosetta mission and his contributions to the field of cometary science. Sierks is also a professor at the University of Heidelberg and has taught astronomy courses at the university. He is a member of the German Academy of Sciences and has received several awards for his work, including the Carl-Zeiss Medal.
