Hugh Glass

Hugh Glass was a famous frontiersman and mountain man who lived in the early 19th century. He is best known for his survival story, which was immortalized in the book and film 'The Revenant'. Glass was a skilled hunter and trapper who worked for the American Fur Company and later became a guide and scout for the U.S. Army.
