Ian B. Cohen

Ian B. Cohen is a professor of computer science and engineering at the University of Waterloo. He holds the Canada Research Chair in Privacy Enhancing Technologies. He has published numerous papers on privacy and security, and has received several awards for his work. He is known for his research on privacy-enhancing technologies and his advocacy for stronger privacy laws. He is also a professor at the University of Waterloo's David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science. He has taught courses on computer science and engineering, and has supervised numerous graduate students. He is a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery and a member of the IEEE Computer Society. He has also served as a consultant for several organizations, including the Canadian government.
