Ieng Sary

Former Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia

Ieng Sary was a Cambodian politician who served as Deputy Prime Minister under the Khmer Rouge regime. He was a key figure in the regime's policies and was known for his role in the country's foreign affairs. Sary was also a vocal advocate for the regime's ideology and was a key figure in the country's reconciliation process after the regime's fall. He died in 2013 while on trial for crimes against humanity.
