Ii Naosuke

Ii Naosuke was a former daimyo of Satsuma and a key figure in the Satsuma Rebellion. He was a member of the Ii clan and served as the daimyo of Satsuma from 1858 to 1867. Ii Naosuke was known for his conservative views and his opposition to the modernization of Japan. He played a key role in the rebellion against the Meiji government and was eventually executed for his crimes.
