Ilan Ramon

Ilan Ramon is an Israeli politician and former Air Force pilot. He served as a member of the Knesset from 2006 to 2013 and was a candidate for the Likud party. Ramon flew on two Space Shuttle missions as a payload specialist and was the first Israeli to travel to space. He is a graduate of the Israeli Air Force Academy and has a degree in aeronautical engineering. Ramon is known for his conservative views and his support for Israel's security policies.
