Imam Ali al-Hadi was the 10th Imam of the Twelver Shia Muslims. He was born in 868 CE and succeeded his father, Imam Musa al-Kadhim, as the Imam of the Shia community. Al-Hadi was known for his piety and his efforts to promote Shia Islam. He was also known for his role in the Ghulat movement, a Shia sect that emphasized the importance of spiritual purification. Al-Hadi died in 868 CE and was succeeded by his brother, Imam Hasan al-Askari. He is considered one of the most important figures in Shia history and is revered by Shia Muslims around the world.
