Irvin D. Yalom

Irvin D. Yalom is a clinical psychologist and professor emeritus at Stanford University. He is known for his work on existential psychotherapy and has written numerous books on the subject. Yalom has also been a prominent public speaker and has given many lectures on existentialism and psychotherapy. He is a recipient of the National Medal of Arts and has been recognized for his contributions to the field of psychotherapy. Yalom has also been a vocal advocate for the importance of human connection and the need for individuals to find meaning in life. He has been married to his wife, Rhoda, for over 50 years and has three children.
